This food and history tour includes a city walk passing monumental buildings such as: The Parliament, The Royal Palace and the main-street and the Island of Tjuvholmen. Public transportation will bring us to the famous Vigeland Sculpture park and the Food Hall Vulkan. The order of sights visited may vary. We will taste the best cheese and ham produced in the Norwegian Valleys, buy shrimps in the harbor directly off the fishing boats, and see the catch of the day either at the port or in the Food Hall. Through the whole day you will get a thorough understanding of Norwegian culture, tradition, food and history.
This tour takes approximately 5 hours.
The cost for the guide is: 3400 NOK and there is a per person fee for public transportation and for food tastings of 400 NOK each. Sundays and Mondays some of the shops and markets described in this tour may be closed. (Food Hall on Mondays), but others will be open.
