Here are some possible theme tours in Oslo and its surrounings. Please inform us of other topics you might be interested in.

The Jewish Oslo
We start by visiting Henrik Wergelands memorial, and look into the historical background of the first Norwegian constitution in 1814 where Jews were forbidden from entering Norway. We continue through Grünerløkka with the first Jewish settlement  and the old Jewish cemetery, establishment and development of the first Jewish community. Next visit is the memorial monument, the eight empty chairs,  outside the walls of Akershus fortress. We visit Oslos synagogue, community centre and old age home. If any  time left we will drive to Villa Grande, Quislings headquarter - in future centre for studies of Holocaust and religious minorities in Norway.

Gustav Vigeland, Edvard Munch, Henrik Ibsen
We tailor make tours with places, museums, restaurants and topics especially connected to these world known Norwegians, that with their art has influenced many of us with their sculptures, literature and paintings. Please let us know how much time you have and who you would like to know more about.

Norway during the second world war
Oslo has an interesting home resistance museum showing the time period from 1940 to 1945 during the occupation. Our City Hall also has a lot of symbols and history from the Second World War. This can be combined with a visit to Oscarsborg outside Drøbakk . Full day tour. Contact us for more information.

Henrik Ibsen in Christiania

The topic is Ibsen’s life and work during the latter part of his life when he lived in Christiania, which was the city’s name at that time. The tour takes about 1 ½ hours and brings us to the most important places along Ibsen’s daily “route” in the city.

If you get in touch with us we will of course assist you in putting together the best combination!
