During a visit to the city and its numerous sights, we can offer you a lot more if you also include some of the surroundings of Oslo. We suggest an all day tour to the Blaafarveverket, the Hadeland
Glassworks or to the former ironworks of Bærum Verk, during which you can experience the wonderful Norwegian scenery, the Oslofjord, the lakes and the cultural landscape with its special points of
geological interest and the historical remains from the Viking-area.
Here are some examples:
Hadeland and Bærums Verk On the way to the glassworks at Hadeland you can enjoy the fascinating scenery along the lake Tyrifjorden, and the exquisite
view from the ‘Queens viewpoint’. Upon arrival at the glassworks you will be given a tour of the aera and there will be ample time for shopping. As you continue to Bærums Verk it will be time for lunch
at the old tavern. After lunch the resident ‘400 year old’ sisters will go through the ancient history of the former iron works before it is
time for a little browsing througin the areas delightful craft shops.
Drøbak, the Christmas village Another beautiful small town not far from Oslo is Drøbak, famous for the picturesque houses, the art galleries and the Christmas House open all year.
Safari in the forest of Oslo Discover the forest surrounding Oslo by walking and Land-rovers. The nature is wild and beautiful, the campfire is burning. This will
be an exotic and unforgettable experience of Oslo.
